Here you can make an online consultation request.
Please read the instructions before use. These instructions are necessary to reduce inappropriate submission of online consultation requests and to help maintain patient and staff safety.
When you request our help, whether by ringing in, via online submission, or by turning up at the desk, we will assess your request and will advise, signpost or book you an appointment as appropriate. An appointment is not guaranteed, as your request might be dealt with by other means. Any appointments made are on the basis of clinical need and urgency and are subject to appointment capacity and BMA safe working guidance.
Recent news articles indicating that you must be offered an appointment via online consultation request are factually incorrect. Contractually, we are obliged to consider requests for appointments for routine care only, during our core hours, which you will be able to do via the online form. For safety reasons, please not use online consultations for urgent problems. You wouldn't email the ambulance or police service with an urgent or emergency issue and expect an immediate response - your GP surgery is no different. Please always call us if you need a quicker response.
Online consultation service is closed during bank holidays.
GPs are in active dispute with government over imposed contract changes relating to online consultation requests and consequent concerns over patient safety, with the government fuelling unrealistic expectation and demand without providing the necesssary resources for GPs to meet those demands. GPs are therefore currently 'working under protest' regarding these imposed changes. We kindly ask all patients to read the instructions carefully and use the service responsibly.

We get many inappropriate queries regarding hospital care. As your GP, we are not responsible for any aspect of hospital care, for example, results of hospital tests, queries about hospital appointments or requests for hospital medications. Please review our support pages below and contact the hospital directly. You will find contact details on your outpatient letters.
If you submit a request regarding hospital care, you will be asked to contact the hospital directly.
If you need to put in a pain score in your online request, this interactive chart will help you to indicate an appropriate pain level on your form.
If you have severe or life-threatening pain, you will be advised accordingly.
