Minor Injuries Unit (MIU)
We receive no funding to provide a minor injuries service
In the event of any falls, trips or injuries, we advise attendance at the Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) at Ripley Hospital, Slack Lane, Ripley. The practice is not funded to provide any minor injuries service and any patient presenting with problems that are within the remit of the MIU will be politely asked to attend there.
Conditions that are seen at MIU include:
- Bites and stings
- Burns and scalds
- Cuts and grazes
- Foreign bodies in the skin
- Minor head injuries
- Minor wound infections
- Road traffic accidents
- Sprains and strains (including whiplash and back injuries)
