Dr Jones Retires, Dr Langton WelcomedJan 29, 07:20 PM

We have had a month of changes at Ivy Grove Surgery. After thirty years of dedicated service Dr Jones has retired. He will be missed by his patients, staff and GP partners. Dr Jones will be keeping very busy with his various interests, and his family will be looking forward to seeing a lot more of him. We will feel like a part of us is missing for some time to come.

In the meantime many of you will be aware that we have appointed a new doctor. Dr Langton joins us a full time partner.  As she is full time, we have effectively increased the amount of GP time available. We hope that this helps meet at least some of the demand for appointments. We are looking into increasing the amount of doctor time available further - we will keep you updated here and in the newsletter.

Some of you may also have noticed that we no longer have nurse practitioner appointments available. After very careful consideration of the demand for appointments we decided that we could offer a better service by employing more doctors. This was a very difficult decision for us as we had established a good working relationship with our nurse practitioners over the years that they were at the surgery.  However, we hope that you will appreciate the greater availability of doctor appointments which will result from these changes.
