Dr Jones Retires, Dr Langton Welcomed29/01/2010
We have had a month of changes at Ivy Grove Surgery. After thirty years of dedicated service Dr Jones has retired. He will be missed by his patients, staff and GP partners. Dr Jones will be keeping very busy with his various interests, and his family will be looking forward to seeing a lot more of him. We will feel like a part of us is missing for some time to come. Welcome Thaw14/01/2010
Fortunately services have returned to normal today. The road down to the surgery car park has been gritted, and whilst there is still quite a lot of snow in the car park, most patients are managing to use it.
Please continue to use caution when driving to the surgery, especially early in the morning when ice can make Steeple Drive dangerous. Whilst we have gritted the pathways, there is still a lot of snow and ice about, so please be careful.

Surgery Closed Due to Icy Conditions13/01/2010
Due to adverse weather conditions we have cancelled most of today's appointments. The road down to the surgery car park (Steeple Drive) was so treacherous (with ice) this morning that we had to close it. Even four wheel drive vehicles were unable to use the road safely. In addition the pathways to the surgery are icy and dangerous.
As the weather is not expected to improve tomorrow we are currently planning how we will manage. This website will be updated as soon as any decisions have been made.
If you require urgent medical attention please contact us in the usual way. If you do have to make the journey to the surgery or the pharmacy please be aware that these dangerous conditions are likely to persist for at least 24hours, you should only attempt the journey to us if it is absolutely necessary.
